Description:
Born in Cuba, Touzon is a documentary and underwater photographer who specializes in making images that convey what he refers as to “the eternity of a moment”. Raul has traveled extensively in Latin America documenting its cultures and building an extensive collection of dramatic photographs which have been used in publications such as National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic Travel, Time, and US News among others. This workshop will focus on using color, light and composition to create outstanding images. We begin each day by viewing and critiquing each other’s photograph’s. Highly visual lectures and demonstrations cover digital camera settings for accurate metering and exposure, in addition to the rules of composition. Artistic use of light with special emphasis on creative flash technique is also an important part of this workshop. In addition, we will cover the basics of editing, sequencing and story development.

10 a.m. – Lecture: Editing, Sequencing and Story Development
Workshop sign ups are based on availability and are on first-come, first-serve basis.
Workshop Refund Policy:
CANCELLATION POLICY: We understand that circumstances arise causing changes in your plans. We sympathize when such situations occur, however, we must adhere to policies as our financial and contractual commitment for each workshop has been finalized. If you need to cancel your reservation, Dragonfly Gallery at Rosedale must be notified by phone (512) 420-9000 or the US mail.
The policy is as follows:
- 35+ Days prior to a workshop: Full refund of tuition, less a $75.00 cancellation fee.
- 34-17 Days prior to a workshop: Refund minus a $150.00 cancellation fee.
- 16 Days or less prior to workshop: Full workshop fees are forfeited. No refunds or transfers.
